Partnerships
Local Public Journal considers collaborations that are relevant to readers interested in shared places, local services and civic life. We accept clearly labelled partner placements, while keeping their presentation distinct from independent editorial coverage.
Relevant collaborations
We are open to proposals for educational projects, public-interest initiatives, event information and other collaborations connected to the publication's subject. A proposal should explain who it serves, what readers would receive and how the collaboration would be presented. Relevance and clarity matter more than scale.
Partner placements
We may accept labelled partner placements that help readers find relevant resources or initiatives. Placement availability is subject to editorial fit and clear disclosure. We do not accept material that disguises promotion as independent reporting, makes unsupported claims or asks us to imply endorsement.
Editorial separation
Partner content is identified as sponsored or partner material. The label is visible where readers encounter the content, and partnership arrangements do not give partners authority over independent articles, corrections or editorial decisions.
Propose a collaboration
Use the Contact page and select the partnership option. Describe the idea, the intended audience, the form of placement or collaboration and any disclosure requirements. A proposal is not a commitment to publish or partner.
Public life starts with paying attention.
A useful account of local life makes processes easier to follow without pretending every place is the same. We look closely at the details that help readers ask better questions.
